About

Dr Emily Shao is a dermatologist with interests in complex medical dermatology, skin cancer detection, paediatric dermatology, pigmentation disorders, and hair disorders. She completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland and trained at several hospitals across Queensland.

In addition to dermatology training, she holds a PhD in skin cancer from the University of Queensland. She also has a Master of Public Health from the University of Sydney, and has extensive experience in general medicine.

Dr Shao works in Brisbane. She has an interest in treating and managing disorders of the skin, hair and nails, including but not limited to:

  • Skin Cancer & Pre-cancerous Lesions

  • Eczema and Dermatitis

  • Psoriasis

  • Acne and Rosacea

  • Hair and Scalp Disorders

  • Pigmentation Disorders

  • Managing skin conditions in pregnancy and lactation

  • Vulval and genital skin disorders
